Thankfully I have learned that clutter does not need to rule my life.

I am here to tell you that The Busy Mom’s Guide to Decluttering Your Home is simple. Do the best you can with what you have. From one Busy Mom/Woman to another. Do not stress over a perfect house but do what you do (clean, organize etc.) to the best of your ability.

There are strategies that we can work with that fit our personalities.

For those who Choose to go Deep.  Here is a method I started using this year and it works! Its called 365 Day Declutter. You can find out how this method works here. It only requires 15 minutes a day. This method gets into some really deep cleaning.

If you chose to scratch the Surface! Try out this article on 35 Items In Your Home You Can Get Rid Of. Some of the items mentioned you will certainly get a laugh over.

Have you ever heard of the trash bag challenge? I didn’t either. Its a great concept though. There are a few trash bag methods. One is to put an item to giveaway in a trash bag everyday. I have also found where you can pick a number say 35 and find that many items to get rid of. This could work with trash and/or donations.

Like Organizing? In my personal experience I found that organizing can be a great way of decluttering. You do not have to go out and buy a bunch of new organizers. I collect baskets, cups and boxes from around my house. I reuse these items as my new organizers. I am not crafty but I have been known to make a paper holder out of cereal boxes. Its true, check it out here. This is my favorite way of decluttering because I pick one small area in the house. When I feel like it is nice and organized, I keep it that way. For a while at least.

If you follow these tips you will quickly get out of your cluttered mess. You will actually enjoy your house and see the impact less clutter can make in your family. Picking the right method will make your decluttering enjoyable. You will actually begin to see the rewards of your labor quickly.
