Easter Blessings by Bonnie Rickner Jensen, Illustrated by Donna Chapman

I received this book for free for my honest review from the book look bloggers program. I picked this book to review because the front cover looked so adorable. I love to have new books for my Tiny Tot Sunday School Class and my three year old. The overall look of the book is great. It’s a padded board book with cute illustrations.

When I received this book and looked on the inside I noticed it seemed very long for little kids. Each page has a Bible reference, poem, and small prayer. It is similar to a devotional. About half way through the book my three year old was getting tired of it. He asked me how long the book was. I asked him if he wanted me to finish the book and he said yes. So he enjoyed it even though it was long. I would recommend to only read a few of the pages at a time to little ones.

I love the illustrations in the book. The poems are great. They keep your attention and are very fun to read. Even though some are mainly about spring they still have to do with God. There are a few poems that are all about Jesus and his resurrection.

Overall I really liked this book. My only complaint is the length of the book. However, when reading to little kids you can just read a few at a time. My son enjoyed the book and said it was good.
